couture wedding dresses

You’re engaged, you want the perfect wedding, and most importantly, the perfect wedding dress. Style for Grace, is a wedding gown maker who creates one-of-a-kind, couture wedding gowns, offering a full service custom designed wedding dress experience. The Style for Grace wedding dress experience is broken down into five stages:

Consultation 1:  We begin with a consultation to discuss your vision for your wedding dress. We also discuss fabric choices, trim and other dress details. From there, Style for Grace creates a series of design sketches for your dress.

Consultation 2:  We meet again and review the sketches. Once the bride selects her dress design, Style for Grace begins creating the pattern for the dress for the bride’s first fitting. Measurements are taken at this meeting in preparation for the first fitting.

Mock-up Wedding Dress 1:  This is a vital part of the Style for Grace Wedding Dress Experience. For perfection and in order to ensure the dress fits perfectly, Style for Grace creates a mock-up dress for your first fitting. The mock-dress is made from fabric with similar properties as your actual dress fabric. From this fitting, we gain the ability to change dress lines if needed, and most importantly, we have the ability to get the fit the way YOU really want it!

Fitting 2:  It’s time for the actual wedding dress to be fitted. During this stage, we make minor alterations to the fit and determine the final hemmed length of the dress, so its critical that you bring your wedding day shoes for this fitting.

Fitting 3:  This is your final fitting and typically your shortest visit. Brides try on their wedding dresses one last time to ensure the dress is perfect for their special day. Brides leave this fitting with their wedding dress in tow!

Pricing

For the bride interested in a gown designed exclusively for her, fabrics play an enormous part in the final cost of the gown. The amount of fabric required is another major factor. A full skirt with a cathedral train takes twice the amount of fabric compared to an A line with a slight sweep train. If you choose an imported silk, the fabric cost alone could be the difference of $750.00 or more. However, Style for Grace carries lots of quality fabrics at more reasonable prices. Our standard labor rate is $50.00 hour.

With this in mind, you can expect to pay the following minimums if you choose to have Style for Grace create your dream wedding dress:

  • Labor – $850.00 base, increases occur for bias cut, lace work, beadwork and detailed embellishments, built in foundation with boning, built in petticoat and multi layers
  • Fabrics and supplies to finish an A line single layer gown – $300.00 and up
Minimum Gown Price Starts at $2,500.00
  • Average gown price is $3,500.00
