Sometimes the mother of the bride or groom has the most difficult time finding that perfect dress to wear for their child’s wedding day. Not to worry, Style for Grace offers a full service custom designed Mother of the Bride dress and/or Mother of the Groom dress experience. The Style for Grace Mother of the Bride dress and Mother of the Groom dress experience is broken down into four stages:

Consultation 1:  We begin with a consultation to discuss your vision how you want to look on your child’s wedding day. We also discuss fabric choices, colors and trim, and other dress details. From there, Style for Grace creates a series of design sketches for you to consider.

Consultation 2:  We meet again and review the dress sketches. Once a design is selected, Style for Grace begins creating the pattern for the Mother of the Bride or Groom Dress. Measurements are taken at this meeting in preparation for the first fitting.

Fitting 1:  The Mother of the Bride or Groom garment is ready for the first fitting. At this fitting minor alterations to the fit can be made. During this stage, we determine the final hemmed length of the dress, so it’s critical that you have your shoes!

Fitting 2:  This is the final fitting and typically the shortest visit. You try on your garment one last time and can leave with your garment in tow!

Pricing

For the mother of the bride or groom interested in having her garment designed exclusively for her, fabrics play an enormous part in the final cost. Style for Grace carries lots of quality fabrics at reasonable prices. Our standard labor rate is $50.00 hour.

With this in mind, you can expect to pay the following minimums if you choose to have Style for Grace create a Mother of the Bride or Groom Dress:

• Labor – $200.00 base, increases occur for bias cut, boning, and any beadwork and detailed embellishments
• Fabrics and supplies to finish an A line single layer dress – $250.00 and up
• Minimum Gown Price Starts at $450.00
• Average Mother of the Bride or Groom Dress price is $500.00
